GMOpples, 2015

 Linoleum cut

There are two kinds of organisms being grown and raised; natural organisms and genetically modified organisms. GMOs are not rare and helps farmers produce bigger and better looking crops and animals. However they have side-effects on people, crops, and animals. In this case, the cons of increased and new allergic reactions, decreased antibiotic efficacy, and problems caused by gene transfer to other crops and animals, outweigh the pros of increased insect resistance with fewer chemicals, and more nutrition due to genetically implanting them. Everyone thinks differently. Some may think that the pros outweigh the cons. And so to help both sides, we should have labels on GMOs to allow people to choose whether or not they want their foods to be genetically modified.
