Current Condition of Artwork:

Minor surface grime. Losses where upper left corner is cut diagonally. Darkened within mat opening. Minor stains, especially along edges and verso center. Minor kink at center. Creases/folds in cover sheet. Dust on painted areas. Cracking and cleavage/flaking in gold jewelry and bowl.

Conservation Treatment Proposed:

  • Consolidate flaking paint.
  • Reduce old hinges (optional).
  • Reduce creases in cover sheet (optional).
