Current Condition of Artwork:

Paper strips along verso edges of the silver border; old hinges. Adhesive residue along right edge of recto. Random minor accretions. Minor surface grime. Minor delamination along silver border attachment. Paint losses to the jewelry, especially the earrings. Cracking in gold paint. Minor cleavage/flaking along top edge, in the gold belt, and in the earrings. Adhesive accretions along the right edge of the image.

Conservation Treatment Proposed:

  • Consolidate flaking paint.
  • Reduce adhesive residue mechanically (optional).
