STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics

This print is centered around two central parts of robotics: mechanical systems and electrical systems. The person holding the wrench represents the building of mechanical systems, and symbolizes the social mobility and power that STEM involvement can bring in one’s life. The background is a circuit diagram that represents the intricacies and the attention to detail of STEM. When creating the piece she used a dark red to create more of a rustic look, paying homage to the often used symbol of a fist holding a tool to signify pride in one’s work.
